The new season of interclub matches will soon be here I am looking forward to it as I am sure you are too. We had a very successful season last year and I hope it will be even better this year. We have an excellent list of fixtures with many of the top clubs in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. I do hope you will be able to support the club this year.
To help the Vice captain and myself administer the club matches efficiently I hope you will accept the following guidelines:
-
There will only be the one match title ''TEAM MATCHES''.
-
When a sheet is posted it will state the handicap range for that match, this will determine how the players are selected.
-
All members are very welcome to put their names forward for consideration but support for home matches will be an important criteria when selecting teams for away matches.
-
Three weeks before the match a sheet will be posted in the club house for members to sign up for selection. Please only put your name on the sheet if you are available for selected for this match date.
-
One week before the match the selected team will be posted on the web site (under Club Matches) and on the notice board .
-
Everyone on the selected team sheet is expected to be available for the match, if an unforeseen problem occurs the selected member MUST contact the team organiser directly by phone or in person. The team organiser will then arrange for a reserve to replace you. Please do not amend the team sheet yourself.
-
On the day of the match please report in good time to the match organiser. A team member in the last pairing will be identified to deal with any last minute unforeseen problems that may occur as the matches progress.
-
All Saturday afternoon matches will require jacket and tie and a sit down meal players are expected to attend the meal after the match except in special circumstances. Some of the evening matches may finish with an informal meal and dress code subject to agreement with the opposing captain.
-
I would like team players to wear club sweaters/shirts if possible. .
Thank you for your support
